Job Details:
Jogan Health is looking for Emergency Room RN for a 13 week assignment in Walsenburg, Colorado.
Pay Local: $107/hr
Travel Pay W/O Per Diem: $90/hr + Travel Stipend + Lodging provided or $700 a week lodging stipend
Travel Pay with Per Diem: $80/hr + Travel Stipend + Lodging
Estimated Hours: 36 hours weekly
Schedules: 8 hour night shifts
Contract Type: 13 week contract
Responsibilities:
- ER Nurse to provide care in emergency room and other critical care settings.
- Quickly assess conditions and stabilize patients in life-threatening emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks or severe injuries.
- Triage cases in order of urgency and need.
- Administer medication as instructed by physicians.
- Start intravenous lines, intubations, patient stitches and sutures as directed.
- Create and maintain incoming patient records. Work closely with team of emergency staff to help patients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification)
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course certification)
- Active Colorado RN license or Compact License required.
- Three years of previous work experience as an RN is required. Previous emergency room work experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills.
- Ability to work closely with a team and patients.
- Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
- Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
